Itβs baked to golden perfection, creating a crispy, cheesy exterior while keeping the chicken juicy and moist inside. This easy-to-make dish offers a delicious blend of textures and flavours, perfect for a family dinner or a crowd-pleasing meal.
Ingredients:
-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-Salt and pepper to taste
-1 cup all-purpose flour
-2 large eggs
-1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
-2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
-1 cup breadcrumbs
-1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-1 teaspoon garlic powder
-1 teaspoon paprika
-Cooking spray or olive oil, for greasing
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or olive oil.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Place the flour in a shallow dish. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the Dijon mustard until well combined. In a third dish, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika.
Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, making sure it’s fully coated, and then press it into the cheddar-breadcrumb mixture, coating the chicken evenly.
Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with a bit of olive oil to help them crisp up.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the coating is golden and crispy.
